This is a blog by a writer and psychotherapist about thriving as a career woman who isn’t defined by her career.

Yes, you’ll find news, information and inspiration on how women are advancing their careers, on the psychology of women at work, and tips on personal and professional effectiveness.

More importantly, I blog about not trying too hard to please others. How to handle difficult bosses and colleagues. How to find a balance in work, home and life. How not to beat ourselves up when we’re thrown completely off-sync. And how to handle the stresses of a demanding work culture that puts pressures on us in a way that can feel as though we’ve lost our creative souls.

Ultimately, it’s about finding personal strength, professional aplomb and emotional resilience that helps us create a career that we define. Not one that defines us.

“My greatest ambition is to have a career without becoming a career woman.” Audrey Hepburn
